Job Description

This role involves planning, creating, and maintaining educational content for technical audiences within Google Cloud's security domain. Responsibilities include writing various forms of documentation (overviews, how-to guides, user guides, API references), creating supplementary materials (articles, images, white papers), organizing existing documentation, identifying gaps, and leading new documentation projects. The role requires collaboration with diverse teams, including engineers, to define requirements and update documentation sets. Strong technical writing skills and the ability to explain complex topics clearly are essential. Experience creating technical content for developers or IT administrators is a must.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience creating content for technical audiences (e.g., developer documentation, Computer Science course material, or IT administration playbooks).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in privacy and security engineering, especially encryption.
  • Experience in writing for the web.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Ability to understand source code (e.g., Java and Python).
  • Ability to work in a paced and constantly changing environment.

  • Create additional content such as articles, images, white papers, solutions documents, and product and project-related communications as needed.
  • Organize existing documentation, identify documentation gaps, and lead new projects.
  • Define documentation requirements with diverse teams, and work with engineers to create and update documentation sets.
  • Edit, clarify, and enhance documents written by engineers and others.
