Job Description

The Equipment Engineer will play a key role in supporting equipment/hardware maintenance and new equipment startup. Responsibilities include planning, managing, and resolving equipment-related issues for volume production, troubleshooting mechanical issues, operating and maintaining test handlers and laser marking equipment, and implementing maintenance programs. The role also involves developing specifications, monitoring performance, driving OEE improvements, and managing equipment KPIs.
Must have:
  • Planning, managing, and resolving equipment-related issues for volume production.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving visual mechanical issues, related to hardware and handler.
  • Operating and maintaining Cohu PNP test handlers and laser marking equipment.
  • Implementing and managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Developing equipment maintenance specifications, including FMEA and OCAP documentation.
  • Monitoring and analyzing equipment performance indicators to meet operational targets.
  • Driving improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Identifying key cost drivers and executing cost reduction initiatives.
  • Defining, developing, and maintaining equipment capabilities, strategies, and long-term roadmaps.
  • Owning and managing equipment KPIs such as MUBJ, MTBA, MTBF, and quality metrics.
  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Good to have:
  • Experience with Teradyne UP1600 or Advantest PS1600 testers

Job Details

The Equipment Engineer will play a key role in supporting equipment/hardware maintenance. Key player in new equipment/hardware startup and ramp-up activities by ensuring timely equipment buyoff and release. This position is responsible for:

  • Planning, managing, and resolving equipment-related issues to prepare the manufacturing line for volume production.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving visual mechanical issues, related to hardware and handler
  • Operating and maintaining Cohu PNP test handlers and laser marking equipment.
  • Implementing and managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Developing equipment maintenance specifications, including FMEA and OCAP documentation.
  • Monitoring and analyzing equipment performance indicators to meet operational targets.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with Teradyne UP1600 or Advantest PS1600 testers is a strong advantage.
