Job Description

As a Test & Repair Engineer within the Production department of Supply Chain, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing customer products, both mechanically and electronically. Your tasks include loading test software, troubleshooting, testing, measuring, repairing, and performing trend analyses. You will also ensure high-quality product delivery and contribute to the assembly of new prototypes in collaboration with the Engineering department.
Good To Have:
  • Experience with radio technology.

Must Have:
  • Maintain and repair customer products (mechanical and electronic).
  • Ensure high-quality product delivery to the warehouse.
  • Monitor assembly quality and initiate corrective actions.
  • Perform tasks: load test software, troubleshoot, test, measure, repair, analyze trends.
  • Assemble new prototypes with Engineering.
  • Experience as mechanic/final inspector in technical production.
  • MBO (+) level work and thinking ability.
  • Strong electronics and mechanical background.
  • Knowledge of assembly and production processes.
  • Proficiency in reading electronic circuits and complex drawings.
  • Capable of manual and automatic testing.

About the team

Within our Supply Chain, the Production department is involved in assembling devices in the field of military communication. The products are all linked to the SOTAS system (vehicle communication systems) and radar systems.

About your future job

As a Test & Repair Engineer, you work in the Make, Source & Deliver process.

The main tasks are:

  • Maintaining and repairing customer products in both mechanical and electronic areas.
  • Taking care of the associated administration.
  • Ensuring delivery of high-quality products to the warehouse.
  • Monitoring assembly quality within the team by performing process control.
  • Keeping track of delivered quality and initiating and following up on associated corrective actions.
  • Task package: e.g., loading (test) software into the systems, troubleshooting, testing, measuring, repairing, performing trend analyses.
  • Assembling new devices (prototypes) in collaboration with the Engineering department.

Why are you a good match

  • You have experience in a similar position as a mechanic, final inspector in a technical production environment with a work and thinking ability at MBO (+) level.
  • An electronics and mechanical background is a must. Experience with radio technology is a plus.
  • You have knowledge of assembly and production processes.
  • You have knowledge of components/circuits and can read electronic circuits and complex drawings.
  • You are willing to acquire knowledge through, among other things, IPC and TWI courses.
  • You enjoy working in a team, can also work well independently, and have good communication skills (Dutch + English).
  • You are practical and accurate.
  • You are willing to perform work/training at external locations if necessary.
  • You are able to test manually, but also to use automatic test environments.
