Position Summary
As a Software Engineering Environments Product Owner, you will join an infrastructure support team, the "Ground Control" team. This talented and professional team specializes in setting up engineering tools, managing the IT infrastructure of an AI development center, as well as associated digital services running in local or cloud environments. This team develops, maintains, and operates all services supporting a dozen development teams. You will be in charge of tool deployment, license management, network architecture, and the Kubernetes computing environment. You must know how to navigate a technically complex world, get hands-on when necessary, and chart the destination of these services in the coming years. You will have significant leeway, but you will also be subject to the company's global policies. We need a leader, a captain in the control tower that is the "Ground Control" team.
Essential Functions/Key Areas of Responsibility
As a Software Engineering Environments Product Owner, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Participate in the functional and technical specification of infrastructure projects, including testing phases;
- Lead Agile team meetings (Sprint Planning, task breakdown, Sprint Review, and Retrospective).
- Establish the work plan and estimates to accomplish your mandate;
- You will be responsible for the satisfaction of the entity's development teams in terms of environment and tooling;
- Coordination and management:
- Act as the team's Product Owner (PO) with the responsibility of defining, documenting, and prioritizing infrastructure and tool support and improvement tasks;
- Manage support for engineering environments in accordance with performance objectives, the entity's and the Group's strategy;
- Thoroughly understand user and stakeholder issues, and understand the technological and budgetary limitations related to environments and tooling to maximize performance and value;
- Relationships:
- Interact with various internal stakeholders: operational, technical, engineering, information systems, security and data protection managers, cross-functional teams.
- Profile, experiences, and expected skills:
- Master risk management and performance monitoring.
- Have skills in Lean, Agile (Scrum, Kanban...), ITIL, Cobit, or DevOps methods.
- Demonstrate autonomy, know how to develop an overall vision, and lead complex projects by supervising your team.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or any other related field is relevant;
- The candidate should have at least 10 years of relevant experience;
- Have significant experience in managing or supporting development environments and tooling;
- Have varied technical knowledge in infrastructure, scripting, and development tools such as JIRA, SONAR, GITLAB, ARTIFACTORY in their deployment and configuration;
- Know how to work to protect the service level even during central tool migrations;
- Master basic cybersecurity concepts;
- Have good communication, be attentive, and demonstrate openness to work with different stakeholders such as clients, scientists, and development teams;
- Have a keen sense of organization, responsibility, and prioritization; this job requires a lot of on-the-fly adjustment in priorities;
- Have intellectual curiosity, a desire to learn and diversify is essential;
- Have aptitudes for teamwork and foster collective intelligence;
- Ability for functional analysis and breakdown into feature blocks;
- Ability to obtain a security clearance is an important asset;
- Cross-functional leadership and a positive attitude towards uncertainty and changes;
- Able to manage stress in urgent situations;
- Good command of French and English, both spoken and written;
This position requires a good knowledge of English for writing technical documents, for interacting, supporting and/or providing services to international clients, employees and/or partners as well as foreign governmental authorities who do not speak French.

Physical Requirements
Ideally capable of moving light loads, such as laptops, screens.
Specific Job Requirements
Schedule: regular working hours.
Physical environment: mainly office work (either on company premises or teleworking), occasionally fieldwork in an outdoor environment.
Travel: occasional, for field tests, participating in conferences and/or meetings with colleagues from other regions of the world (e.g., in Europe).
This position may require meeting the eligibility criteria described in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and the Canadian Industrial Security Program.
