Job Description

Thales is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for Application Security in Hong Kong. This role involves identifying and qualifying sales opportunities, managing the full sales cycle, and developing relationships with major accounts. The manager will be responsible for achieving revenue targets, presenting solutions, understanding customer needs, and coordinating with sales engineers. The position requires a proactive individual with strong sales experience in IT solutions, particularly in large enterprises, and knowledge of cloud and network environments.
Good To Have:
  • Experience focused in Banking & Finance/Government/Utilities sectors.
  • Experience in selling IT security solutions.
  • Knowledge in application security domain.
  • Fluent in Mandarin.
Must Have:
  • Identify, qualify, and quantify opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Lead the sales effort and manage all aspects of the sales cycle.
  • Manage and develop relationships with major accounts at all levels.
  • Develop new accounts.
  • Deliver on-set objectives to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Present solutions and proposals to prospects.
  • Understand customer objectives, buying criteria, and decision-making processes.
  • Communicate with customers on product changes/upgrades, innovations, and company policy.
  • Coordinate with Sales Engineer regarding technical requirements.
  • Drive demand generation through channel and marketing support.
  • Participate and represent the company at user conferences and trade shows.
  • Provide accurate and reliable sales forecast.
  • Provide weekly reports on sales activities and quarterly territory plans.
  • University degree.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in selling IT solutions in Hong Kong.
  • Experience in selling to large enterprises.
  • Proven track record in selling IT solutions and growing revenue.
  • Experience in managing all aspects of the sales cycle.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Knowledge in cloud and network environment.
  • Fluent in spoken and written Cantonese and English.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying, qualifying and quantifying opportunities within the assigned accounts and leading the sales effort.
  • Manages all aspects of the sales cycle.
  • Manages and develops relationships with major accounts at all levels.
  • New accounts development.
  • Delivers on-set objectives to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Presentation of solutions and proposals to prospects.
  • Understanding customer’s objectives, buying criteria and decision making processes and forming long term business partnerships
  • Involved in communication with customers on product changes/upgrades, product innovations, and general company policy changes.
  • Coordinate with Sales Engineer regarding technical requirements for specific opportunities.
  • Drive demand generation through appropriate channel and marketing support mechanisms.
  • Participate and represent the company at appropriate user conferences and trade shows.
  • Provides accurate and reliable sales forecast.
  • Provides weekly reports on sales activities, presents quarterly territory plans and reviews.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • University degree.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in selling IT solutions in Hong Kong. Experience focused in any specific sector(s) like Banking & Finance/Government/Utilities a plus.
  • Experience in selling IT security solutions or Cloud/Network Solution is preferable.
  • Experience in selling to large enterprises is required.
  • Proven track record in selling IT solutions and growing revenue.
  • Experience in managing all aspects of the sales cycle including prospecting, development of the customer relationship at all levels and the implementation of the account plans.
  • Good presentation skills, capable of articulating technical proposals to decision makers at both technical and business levels.
  • Knowledge in application security domain will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge in cloud and network environment.
  • Pro-active team player.
  • Capable of working independently under sales objectives assigned.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with self-motivated personality.
  • Willing to take on challenging work.
  • Fluent in spoken and written Cantonese and English.
  • Fluent in Mandarin is preferable.
