Job Summary
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for Gojek. You will report to the Accounting Manager and collaborate with various finance and business teams to properly record all transactions. Your role will involve diving into technical accounting matters, leading analytical reviews, and contributing to process improvements to strengthen the financial reporting framework.
Must Have
- Own accounts and transactions, prepare accounting numbers, and propose journal entries.
- Perform financial closing activities.
- Prepare a detailed list of financial statements items and ensure they are reconciled with the trial balance, supporting calculations, and data source.
- Ensure accounting processes are properly executed and initiate improvement when necessary.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve low-complexity accounting issues independently.
- Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and the audit.

About the Role
As our Accountant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Reporting to the Accounting Manager and working closely with functions such as FP&A, Tax, AR/AP, Treasury, Procurement, and various business and product teams, you’ll ensure all transactions under your scope are properly recorded. You’ll also dive into technical accounting matters, lead analytical reviews, and contribute to process improvements that strengthen the overall financial reporting framework.
What You Will Do
- Own accounts and transactions, prepare accounting numbers, and propose journal entries.
- Perform financial closing activities.
- Prepare a detailed list of financial statements items and ensure they are reconciled with the trial balance, supporting calculations, and data source.
- Ensure accounting processes are properly executed and initiate improvement when necessary.

- Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and the audit.
What You Will Need
- A bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of experience as an accountant in similar industries (e.g., technology, fintech, e-commerce, logistics, etc.) and/or an auditor in a public accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards (SAK); familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Singapore FRS is a plus.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and Google Docs); familiarity with SAP, Coupa, and Oracle FCCS is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy, and problem-solving and analytical mindset.
About the Team
Accounting Team works alongside the other finance functions (FP&A, tax, AR, AP, treasury and procurement) as well as business, product and other corporate functions. We own bookkeeping, overall trial balance, and statutory financial statements of all entities and products in all operating markets. Currently, our team has been busy working on process improvement to align ourselves with global standard and market practice, which will help to increase its competitiveness in the global market from a financial reporting perspective.
As a team, we’re concerned with the growth of the company and each other’s personal growth and well-being too.
