About Your Role:

Our Above Water Systems team provides engineering & maintenance services to Royal Australian Navy vessels and commercial ships. We’re proud to bolster Australia’s sovereign capability through operational support to our defence partners. With ongoing training programs and a team of over 500, our people have room to grow and develop an impactful career with us.

Based at Woolloomooloo, your purpose will be to:

• Lead and manage bids and projects in line with Thales guidelines and business objectives.
• Execute, monitor and control the project (predominantly in engineering) with adherence to gate reviews, schedule & budget
• Partnering closely with our customers and ensuring that products and services delivered exceed expectations.
• Playing a central role in business strategy and effectively managing risk
• Mentoring other team members and contributing to future capability across Thales Australia

Your Skills:

• Degree in business, engineering, project management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of senior-level bid and project management experience.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams.
• Exceptional stakeholder and customer relationship management skills.
• Proficiency in Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and project financials.
• Strong written communication and negotiation skills.
