Who will you work with?

The Track Database team (also known as Subdiv) is responsible for creating the database that contains the virtual map of the railway and all the information consumed by the systems involved in the PTC solution, such as the onboard system, office, interlocking manager, wayside, among others.

How will you make a difference?

As a leader of the Track Database department (also known as Subdiv), you will be responsible for the interface between the Wabtec client and the development teams. Leading the team in preparing the necessary artifacts for the correct documentation of the field map. Implementing solutions in the engineering, development, and testing processes of the track database. Monitoring integrated tests and the commissioning of new versions. And, finally, maintaining the functional product.

What do we want to know about you?

• Knowledge in Track Database development;
• Previous experience in Railway operations; Advanced English communication skills;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Access; Intermediate/advanced level in Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio);
• Knowledge in programming languages; Knowledge in agile methodologies, SCRUM or others; Windows operating systems;
• Knowledge in Google Earth Pro; Knowledge in preparing work effort estimates and technical specification documents within the scope of track databases; Basic knowledge in Computer-Aided Design tools;

How will your typical day be?

• Manage the Subdiv Database team to achieve on-time deliveries; Organize the structuring and growth of the team;
• Manage the team's workload and tasks; Lead the preparation of the necessary documentation to record deliveries and processes related to field validations and database creation;
• Plan field and office work for all Wabtec clients within the scope of track services; Interface and customer/user support; Automate processes in the development of track files;
• Manage field team to perform Critical Feature Validations; Communicate results to leadership. Prepare work estimates and technical specifications for track database activities;
