Job Summary
Frima is seeking a UI Designer (technical) to join its UX/UI team. This role involves designing and integrating complex interface systems directly in Unreal (UMG/Slate), conducting visual research, and creating custom shaders for advanced visual effects. The designer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve multi-platform integration challenges, optimize UI performance, and improve the UI pipeline. Candidates should have a college degree in graphic design or multimedia, five or more years of experience in video game interface design, and strong proficiency in Unreal UMG and Blueprints.
Must Have
- Design and integration of complex interface systems directly in Unreal (UMG/Slate)
- Visual research
- Creation and optimization of custom shaders and materials for advanced visual effects
- Collaboration with designers, artists, and programmers to solve multi-platform integration challenges
- Debugging, profiling, and UI optimization to ensure smooth performance on PC, consoles, and other platforms
- Improvement of the UI pipeline and documentation of best practices for the team
- College degree in graphic design, multimedia, or any other relevant field
- Five (5) or more years of experience in interface design for video games
- Excellent proficiency with Unreal UMG and Blueprints
- Advanced skills in shader/material creation
- Strong understanding of UX and interaction design principles
- English proficiency required
- Portfolio and/or demo required
Good to Have
- Experience with Unreal animation systems
- Slate (as an asset)

Qualifications
What we're looking for
