Job Summary
Frima is seeking a UI Designer for its UI/UX team. With over 20 years of creative audacity, Frima has been recognized as one of Canada's best video game employers. This role involves illustrating and designing game interface elements, conducting visual research, conceptualizing interfaces, and participating in defining a game's visual style. The position requires a minimum of three years of experience in video game interface design and excellent knowledge of Unreal Engine.
Must Have
- College degree in graphic design, multimedia, or relevant discipline
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in video game interface design
- Excellent knowledge of Unreal Engine
- Knowledge of user/machine behavior (ergonomics)
- English language skills are required for work with English-speaking partners
- Portfolio and/or demo required

- Resourcefulness and professional rigor
- Ability to adapt a design to multiple target audiences
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team

Job Description
What your weeks will look like
- Illustration and design of video game interface elements;
- Visual research;
- Sketching, conceptualization, and realization of interfaces;
- Participation in defining the visual style of a game;
- Development of navigation diagrams (flowcharts);
- Assembly and initial integration of designs within the Unreal game engine;
- Documentation of process operation for the production team or partner.
Qualifications
What we are looking for
- College degree in graphic design, multimedia, or any other relevant discipline;
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in interface design for video games;
- Excellent knowledge of the Unreal game engine;
- Knowledge of user/machine behavior (ergonomics);
