Job Summary
Frima, a creative studio with over 20 years of experience, is looking for a UI Designer to join its UI/UX team. The role involves designing and integrating complex UI systems in Unreal (UMG/Slate), visual research, creating advanced shaders, collaborating with various teams, debugging, profiling, and optimizing UI for multi-platform performance, and improving the UI pipeline.
Must Have
- Design and integration of complex interface systems directly in Unreal (UMG/Slate)
- Visual research
- Creation and optimization of custom shaders and materials for advanced visual effects
- Collaboration with designers, artists, and programmers to solve multi-platform integration challenges
- Debugging, profiling, and optimizing UI to ensure smooth performance on PC, consoles, and other platforms
- Improving the UI pipeline and documenting best practices for the team
- College degree in graphic design, multimedia or any other relevant discipline
- Five (5) years or more of experience in interface design for video games
- Excellent command of Unreal UMG and Blueprints
- Advanced skills in shader/material creation
- Good understanding of UX and interaction design principles
- Taste for complex technical challenges and optimization
- English language skills required for work as we collaborate with English-speaking partners
- Portfolio and/or demo required
Good to Have
- Slate is an asset
- Experience in Unreal animation systems, an asset

Qualifications
What we are looking for
- College degree in graphic design, multimedia or any other relevant discipline
- Five (5) years or more of experience in interface design for video games
- Excellent command of Unreal UMG and Blueprints (Slate is an asset);

- Advanced skills in shader/material creation;
- Good understanding of UX and interaction design principles;
