Job Summary
Frima is seeking a Senior UI Designer to enhance its design team. This role involves proposing functional design solutions, participating in art reviews, making UX decisions based on data, and designing prototypes. The designer will animate interface elements, serve as a UI contact, collaborate with other disciplines, and mentor junior UI designers. Frima offers a 4.5-day work week, flexible remote/hybrid options, and comprehensive benefits.
Must Have
- Propose functional, high-level design solutions tailored to project constraints
- Actively participate in art reviews and ideation sessions
- Make ergonomics and user experience decisions based on research, data, and best practices
- Design functional prototypes to test and validate the user experience
- Animate interface elements and ensure seamless integration into the game engine
- Serve as a main point of contact for UI-related issues
- Actively participate in progress meetings and collaborate with other disciplines
- Mentor and support UI designers by providing guidance and sharing best practices
- Contribute to the evolution of tools, templates, and workflows for UI
- Take part in project retrospectives and draw learnings
- College diploma in graphic design, UX/UI design, digital arts, or related field
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in UI design
- Demonstrated experience designing interfaces on AAA projects
- Team mentorship experience
- Experience developing interfaces with Unreal 5.X
- Ability to design interfaces for different audiences and platforms (console, PC, mobile)
- Understanding of the technical constraints related to game production
- Strong understanding of user behavior and interface ergonomics
- Excellent proficiency with Figma
- English proficiency is required

- Excellent communication skills in a multidisciplinary collaborative environment

Job Description
What your weeks are going to look like
- Propose functional, high-level design solutions tailored to the project’s constraints;
- Actively participate in art reviews and ideation sessions;
- Make ergonomics and user experience decisions based on research, data, and best practices;
- Design functional prototypes to test and validate the user experience with the team;
- Animate certain interface elements and ensure their seamless integration into the game engine being used;
- Serve as a main point of contact for UI-related issues on the project, both internally and with the external partner;
- Actively participate in progress meetings and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure consistency and smoothness in the gameplay experience;
- Mentor and support UI designers by providing guidance and sharing best practices to ensure deliverable quality and compliance with team standards;
- Contribute to the evolution of tools, templates, and workflows used for UI across the studio;
- Take part in project retrospectives and draw learnings to improve future UI processes.
Qualifications
What we're looking for
- College diploma in graphic design, UX/UI design, digital arts, or another related field combined with equivalent experience;
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in UI design or other relevant experience;
- Demonstrated experience designing interfaces on AAA projects;
- Team mentorship experience;
- Experience developing interfaces with Unreal 5.X;
- Ability to design interfaces for different audiences and platforms (console, PC, mobile);
- Understanding of the technical constraints related to game production;
- Strong understanding of user behavior and interface ergonomics;
- Excellent proficiency with Figma;
- English proficiency is required to perform the role, as we collaborate with English-speaking partners.
