UI Programmer

We are ARVORE, a startup in the virtual reality content creation scene.

Based out of Los Angeles and São Paulo, our studio creates, designs, produces and develops world-class interactive experiences and games for all current and future high-end immersive platforms, including virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality.

ARVORE is looking to hire a technically adept, creative individual to complement our team. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative immersive and narrative-driven XR experiences, iterating and prototyping with a high level of creative freedom and with the opportunity to guide the direction of some of these endeavours.

JOB DESCRIPTION

UI Programmers are responsible for bringing game interfaces to life by transforming wireframes and prototypes into functional, polished user interfaces. In our team, we are looking for someone with strong experience in Unreal Engine, who will collaborate closely with designers, artists, and other programmers to create intuitive and engaging UI for mobile games.

This professional will also integrate UI with game systems, data, and events, ensuring seamless interaction and a high-quality player experience.

MAIN CROSS-FUNCTIONAL ACTIVITIES:

• Implement and maintain user interfaces (UI) in Unreal Engine.
• Work with designers and artists to turn wireframes and prototypes into functional interfaces.
• Integrate UI with game systems, data flows, and in-game events.
• Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve UI-related issues and bugs.
• Ensure consistency and usability in UI implementation.

MUST HAVE:

• Proven experience with Unreal Engine (UMG, Blueprints, and C++).
• Strong attention to detail in both design and interaction.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience with UI animations and integration with visual effects.
• Knowledge of UI optimization for mobile platforms.
• Understanding of UI/UX design principles for games.
• Experience with Common UI and MVVM plugins.
• Previous background in mobile game development.
