Iron Gate AB is an independent game studio based in central Skövde. We are a passionate and close-knit team of over 15 people who are passionate about creating magnificent worlds and memorable gaming experiences. We are best known for Valheim, our successful game that has captured the hearts of millions of players worldwide.

Iron Gate is looking for a Unity programmer!

This full-time position consists of 35 hours a week, spread over five working days of 7 hours each (with the possibility of flexibility under your own responsibility). It is a big plus if you live near Skövde or can consider moving here, as we want the work to take place at our office as much as possible. If this is not possible, we are also open to different arrangements for remote work, but then we prefer that you visit the office in Skövde regularly. To facilitate this, we offer both travel compensation and an overnight apartment.

What we are looking for

Do you want to help make Valheim awesome? Iron Gate is looking for a skilled Unity programmer who wants to help further develop Valheim and our future projects! We are looking for someone who is self-driven, solution-oriented, and loves to create stable and efficient code. We also place great importance on your personality, as it is important that you fit in with the group.

We are looking for someone who has

• Solid experience with Unity and C#
• Experience in game development
• Experience in development on modern game consoles
• Good ability to work independently
• Drive for problem-solving
• Ability to communicate fluently in both Swedish and English
• Network programming
• Knowledge of optimization in Unity

Bonus attributes

• Experience with Mercurial/hg or other version control program
• Shader programming
• A passion for open-world, survival, and co-op
