We are looking for:
Advanced Systems Group LLC. is seeking an experienced UX Designer Team Lead to join our high-performing team. The UX Team Lead will be responsible for managing a small team of designers to audit, organize, build, and maintain Figma libraries across the organization. As the Lead UI/UX Designer, you are a highly motivated and proactive individual responsible for translating functional requirements into a well thought out design and implementation of all products within the design systems and creative marketing spaces. We are looking for someone who is passionate about design systems that will oversee the design process, mentor team members, and ensure that our design teams, workflows, and operations align with business objectives. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and user-centered design solutions. This role is a temporary full time remote position through the end of the year.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement design systems that ensure consistency and efficiency across products.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and style guides
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and design leadership to define project needs and translate them into insightful and pragmatic solutions.
- Oversee design operations, including project timelines, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
- Communicate with various stakeholders (i.e., various design teams, other business and technology functions, and outside partners), by integrating design best practices that informs work through that thoughtfully reflects brand guidelines.
- Work directly with Product Leads in collaboration with the cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional design solutions that align with our business objectives and user needs.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior and mid-level designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative design culture.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies, and proactively apply them to enhance our products and processes.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in design systems and a deep understanding of product design and methodology
- Experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, and other relevant software
- A consistent track record of designing intuitive, engaging, simple and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces and experiences for web applications
- Experience applying user-centered design principles and best practices
- Expert knowledge of user-centered design processes and UX skill sets with expertise in either UX or interaction design
- You will have a strong ability to work with people at all organizational levels and be comfortable in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- A strong sense of focus and excellent attention to detail while working in a changing environment.
- Thrives when challenged with vague/undefined program/project scope and can utilize data when proposing solutions for operational initiatives.
- Has worked with creative teams and managed delivery schedules.
Compensation & Benefits:
This temporary contract role offers a salary of $115,000 - $130,000 depending on experience.
