UX/UI Designer – Consumer Web

Onward Search is seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer for a top financial-related institution. This fully remote, EST-based W2 contract role, initially 3 months with potential for extension or conversion, focuses on designing user-centered experiences for consumer web. The role involves template personalization, customer journey mapping, and conversion optimization through thoughtful, accessible design, ensuring alignment with design systems and accessibility standards while collaborating with product and engineering teams.

Must Have

• Lead the design of personalized web templates, helping with redesign.
• Map and design customer flows that simplify decision-making and support conversion.
• Ensure designs align with design system, accessibility standards, and brand direction.
• Collaborate with .com design leads to maintain consistency across all consumer-facing touchpoints.
• Partner with product managers and engineers/vendors to deliver creative yet feasible solutions.
• Mastery of Figma, FigJam, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience designing within CMS platforms (understanding constraints and opportunities).
• Portfolio of UX work you can show and speak to.
• Skilled in preparing detailed design specifications for engineering handoff.
• Basic familiarity with HTML, CSS, and front-end frameworks.
• Experience creating customer journey maps, user flows, IA models, and wireframes.
• Proficiency in high-fidelity UI design and accessibility communication.
• Solid understanding of UX principles for responsive web and mobile experiences.
