Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Ethernet PHY/Retimer Testing Engineer to join Marvell's Software Validation Team. This role involves testing and validating Ethernet physical layer (PHY) components to ensure compliance with IEEE standards, signal integrity, and interoperability. The scope covers a wide range of Ethernet speeds, from 10/100/1000 Mbps to 800G, supporting the development of high-performance networking solutions. Responsibilities include developing and executing test plans, analyzing results, and maintaining automation frameworks.
Must Have
- Perform validation of Ethernet PHYs, Retimers, and Switches across various test scenarios.
- Develop and execute test plans for API-level, functional, performance, and stress testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications.
- Analyze test results, identify issues, and work with development teams for resolution.
- Maintain and enhance test automation frameworks and scripts.
- 2 to 15 Years of hands-on experience in Ethernet PHY/Retimer and Switch validation.
- Proficiency in Python and C for test automation and scripting.
- Solid understanding of Networking and Ethernet standards (IEEE 802.3), MACSEC and PTP protocols.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as Ixia, XENA, Calnex, and Oscilloscopes.
- Familiarity with debugging tools and methodologies in a hardware validation environment.
