As our Vehicle Material Artist, you will be helping develop our material library, elevate visual benchmarks, while managing performance targets. You will be well established in your field and passionate about the creation of materials for automotive use cases. You will have extensive experience in vehicle visualisation pipelines, with particular strengths in, materials and textures. You’ll be supported by the leadership of the vehicle art discipline and will collaborate with wider departments to execute on the artistic vision.

Key Duties Include

  • Researching, developing and documenting material creation processes.
  • Seeks out and engages with opportunities to increase team productivity
  • Ensure production of vehicle assets conform to the defined technical and artistic requirements
  • Mentor the internal and external teams to maintain quality and consistency
  • Self-managing personal deliverables, ensuring they meet the defined objectives, quality bar, and schedule
  • Support and inspire our junior and experienced vehicle artists

Requirements

  • Strong experience in creation of 'Physically Based Rendering' assets
  • Proficient with texture authoring tools such as Photoshop and Substance
  • An excellent understanding of the mechanical composition of vehicles
  • Well-practiced in precision modelling techniques for meticulous detailing
  • Extensive experience with node based tools such as Substance Suite, 3ds Max, Maya or equivalent
  • Strong organizational skills and disciplined work habits
  • Willingness to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Approach the role with a professional mindset adhering to industry standards
  • A high standard of verbal and written communication skills

  • Unreal Engine, including material creation process
  • Office 365
