Job Summary
DONTNOD is seeking a VFX Artist M/F/X for a 3-month freelance or fixed-term contract. Must Have
- At least 3 years of experience in VFX for video games.

Created in 2008, DONTNOD is an independent French studio for the creation and development of "AA" video games in popular genres: adventure (Life is Strange, Tell me Why, Twin Mirror), action (Remember Me), and RPG (Vampyr). Each new game is an original creation with a unique narrative experience and unique game mechanics.

Job Description
To strengthen its VFX department, DONTNOD is looking for a VFX Artist M/F/X, on a freelance or fixed-term contract (CDD) for a duration of 3 months.
- Under the supervision of the lead VFX Artist, your mission will be to create real-time effects using Unreal Engine 5, respecting the constraints set by the technical direction.
- You will collaborate with the Graphic, Animation, Programming, and Game Design departments of the project.
- In collaboration with the lead VFX, you will define and implement the special effects production processes for the current project.
- You will provide regular feedback to the lead VFX on project progress, problems encountered, and corrections to consider.
- In a continuous improvement approach, you will regularly exchange with all other members of the studio's VFX department working on other projects to share your experiences, solutions, leads, and interesting tools.
Qualifications
- You ideally have at least 3 years of experience in VFX (visual effects) in video games.
- Your experiences have allowed you to sharpen your eye on the composition and rhythm of effects.
- You must master a 3D software, ideally Houdini or Maya, which you will be required to use.
- You have solid knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 or real-time effects creation.
- Curious, you like to learn and experiment with new tools. Your team spirit, adaptability, and dynamism are all assets for this position.
