Job Description

The Vice President of Data Engineering & Analytics is a transformational executive leader responsible for architecting and executing a global strategy that positions Data Engineering and Analytics as core enablers of the company’s growth, innovation, and competitive advantage. This leader will oversee a team of 151 employees and contractors, ensuring the function is structured, scalable, and aligned with critical priorities. The role is accountable for delivering enterprise-scale, secure, and cost-efficient Data engineering and business intelligence platforms, influencing at the highest levels of the organization, and managing a $20M budget.
Good To Have:

  • Implement robust risk management policies, business continuity plans, and controls.
  • Executive Leadership: Proven ability to inspire large global teams and engage C-suite executives.

Position Summary

This leader will oversee a team of 151 employees and contractors—expected to expand significantly in the coming years—ensuring the function is structured, scalable, and aligned with the company’s most critical priorities.

This role is accountable for delivering enterprise-scale, secure, and cost-efficient Data engineering and business intelligence platforms while influencing at the highest levels of the organization. The Vice President will work in close partnership with all Global Information Systems (GIS) functions, the executive leadership team, and cross-functional business units to ensure that Data engineering and Analytics investments directly translate to measurable business outcomes.

The Vice President must bring strategic vision, and operational excellence, as well as the ability to attract, develop, and inspire a world-class global team. It carries full accountability for a current $20M budget, with responsibility for optimizing spending, shaping investment priorities, and ensuring that financial decisions accelerate innovation, efficiency, and enterprise value creation.

Essential Duties

Enterprise Strategy & Leadership

  • Set and execute the long-term global Data engineering and analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with business growth objectives, digital transformation, and GIS priorities.
  • Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing team of 151 employees and contractors, with responsibility for organizational growth, succession planning, and workforce expansion.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CIO and C-suite executives, influencing strategic direction and shaping enterprise-wide technology decisions.
  • Drive a culture of innovation, accountability, cost discipline, and agility to accelerate business value.
  • Oversee a $20M+ annual budget, with full responsibility for strategic investment, vendor/partner negotiations, and resource allocation to maximize ROI and enable scalable growth.

Global Execution & Delivery

  • Oversee delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performance Data engineering and business intelligence platforms across geographies.
  • Ensure projects and programs are consistently delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Establish global delivery frameworks that balance regional agility with enterprise standardization.
  • Champion continuous improvement in system performance, cost optimization, and speed to insight.

Enterprise Partnership & Influence

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role leads and manages a global organization of 151 employees and contractors, with responsibility for hiring, onboarding, performance management, and workforce expansion. The Vice President will oversee both employees and contingent workers, ensuring effective alignment of talent, resources, and investment to deliver enterprise priorities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field required; advanced degree (Master’s or MBA) strongly preferred.
  • 20+ years of relevant leadership experience, with at least 12+ years in senior executive roles leading large-scale Data engineering, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence functions.
  • Demonstrated success managing global teams of 100+ people in highly regulated, complex environments.
  • Experience delivering enterprise-level data and engineering solutions that directly drive business growth and transformation.
  • Proven expertise with cloud, enterprise data platforms, analytics ecosystems, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Prior accountability for significant budgets and resource portfolios in global organizations.

The estimated base salary range for the Vice President, Data Engineering & Analytics role based in the United States of America is: $265,800 - $398,600. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
