Job Description

Salesforce is seeking a VP of Product Marketing to support our National Security business. The VP will work closely with product, sales, and marketing leaders to drive product positioning, messaging, capture marketing, and the go-to-market strategy. This role involves developing compelling narratives, refining customer segmentation, setting multi-channel marketing campaign strategies, and ensuring field readiness. The VP will also manage AR/PR, stakeholder alignment, KPI tracking, and team development, contributing to customer acquisition and expansion.
Must Have:
  • Develop compelling narrative and value proposition for national security.
  • Refine customer segmentation, personas, and needs documentation.
  • Set strategy for high-impact, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Partner with field marketing for pipeline alignment.
  • Launch solutions and capabilities with product and sales leadership.
  • Drive field readiness and enablement for new solutions.
  • Collaborate with Analyst and Press Relations teams.
  • Ensure stakeholder alignment through effective communication.
  • Define, track, and report on product marketing KPIs.
  • Develop and grow a diverse product marketing team.
  • 10+ years product marketing leadership in B2B SaaS.
  • Track record launching products in DoD/Intelligence Community.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to craft compelling stories.
  • Proven cross-functional collaboration and relationship building.
  • Synthesize market needs into product requirements.

Salesforce is seeking a VP of Product Marketing to support our National Security business. The VP will work closely with product, sales, and marketing leaders to drive product positioning, messaging, capture marketing, and the go-to-market strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and evolve a compelling narrative and value proposition for national security, reflecting the positioning and showcasing the vision of our overall solution. Partner with Product Management teams for products and solutions to ensure the narrative is tied together.
  • Develop and refine customer segmentation; understand and document detailed customer personas and needs.
  • Set the strategy for high-impact, multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive marketing and sales qualified leads, and ultimately, customer acquisition and expansion.
  • Partner with field marketing to ensure a healthy, constantly progressing pipeline that aligns with the sales objectives.
  • Launch solutions and capabilities in tight coordination with product and sales leadership at Salesforce events.
  • Drive field readiness and enablement for new solutions and capabilities.
  • AR/PR: Work closely with the industry experts and Analyst and Press Relations teams to ensure effective thought leadership and ongoing relevance in the market.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively and frequently to ensure all stakeholders across product, sales, product marketing, marketing, and customer success are aligned in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly report on the performance of product marketing initiatives.
  • Team Development: Develop and grow a team of diverse product marketing talent.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of product marketing leadership experience in B2B SaaS.
  • Proven track record of launching and growing products in the Department of Defense and/or Intelligence Community.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling stories for diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in synthesizing and translating market needs into product requirements; ability to manifest the product vision/direction via compelling positioning and messaging.
  • Ability to influence and deliver results in global, matrixed environments comprised of internal and external stakeholders.
