Job Summary
Motorola Solutions is seeking a VS&A Instructional Designer to design, develop, and maintain training assets for tech support onboarding, focusing on the Motorola Solutions product suite. Responsibilities include writing concise, technical instructional content, utilizing multimedia, simulations, and assessments, and managing training assets in the Learning Center. The role requires collaboration with team leads and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and staying updated on product releases. Candidates should have 1+ years of experience in training content design/development, strong technical aptitude, and knowledge of ILT/OLT models and adult learning principles, working independently and collaboratively.
Must Have

This position can be located anywhere in Canada, with a preference for candidates in the Vancouver area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain training assets that support tech support onboarding with their use of the Motorola Solutions product suite, including, but not limited to, instructor guides, student workbooks, powerpoints, and a variety of online assets.
- Write concise, technical, and effective instructional content for a variety of deliverables, including lesson plans, guides, online content, and more.
- Follow a scalable and repeatable process in the scoping, creation, and maintenance of content.
- Utilize multimedia elements, simulations, and assessments to enhance the effectiveness of learning materials.
- Manage and monitor training assets and courses in the Learning Center.
- Working closely with team leads to ensure training content is focused on the right content, filling knowledge gaps, and appropriate.
- Collaborate with SMEs across the organization in producing high-quality and effective training assets.
- Stay current on product releases and updates to ensure that enablement content remains technically accurate and aligns with product features and use cases.
- Work under tight timelines without compromising the quality of work.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of designing and developing training content or related experience.
- Strong aptitude to learn new technology and software quickly and be able to convey the meaning of complex concepts clearly to a broad audience.
- Knowledge of ILT and OLT learning design and development models, adult learning principles, and delivery methods.
- Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team-based environment.
- Creative, enthusiastic, driven, a self-starter, able to effectively work independently.
