Job Description

The Wi-Fi systems engineer will define performance targets and radio coexistence schemes between Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, LTE, UWB, GNSS, and Thread. This role involves creating new features independently and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring them to production. Responsibilities include PHY layer and system design for wireless connectivity, active learning of new wireless technologies such as MU-MIMO and Beamforming, and designing coexistence systems for various wireless systems.
Good To Have:
  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with wireless standards (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, UWB, Thread).
  • Knowledge of RF, PHY and MAC implementation.
Must Have:
  • BS in Wireless Communication Systems or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in wireless communication systems.
  • Proficient in network performance modeling and debugging.
  • Good analytical and communication skills.

We are looking for a Wi-Fi systems engineer to define performance target and radio coexistence schemes between Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, LTE, UWB, GNSS, Thread. The scope covers software algorithms, hardware interfaces, signal processing techniques, and scheduling arbitration. This individual will work independently to create new features and collaborate with cross-functional teams to take the features from concept to production.

Job Overview

  • PHY Layer and system design for next generation wireless connectivity system and features development with focus on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth

  • Actively learning new wireless technologies, including MU-MIMO, Beamforming, OFDMA, Distributed RU, etc

  • Work with PHY/MAC and HW RD teams in system architecture, module & algorithm design, as well as generation of patents

  • Co-existence system design for multiple wireless systems, such as WiFi, BT, Threads, GNSS, and mobile phone SoC

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Wireless Communication Systems or related field

  • 4+ years research or work experience in wireless communication systems and architecture

  • Proficient in network performance modeling, simulation, and lab debugging

  • Good analytical and communication skills

  • Self-motivated, goal oriented, and quick to learn

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering

  • Familiarity with wireless standards such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, UWB, Thread

  • Familiarity with the impact of radio interference on wireless communications systems and mitigation schemes

  • Solid background in SW/MAC/PHY architecture and coexistence algorithms and protocols

  • Knowledge about RF, PHY and MAC implementation

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
