Barracuda is seeking a Systems Administrator to join their IT team. The role involves ensuring the security, reliability, and availability of the server infrastructure. Responsibilities include managing multiple Azure tenants and licensing, performing routine system updates and patches, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, collaborating with senior administrators for system optimization, documenting server environments and procedures, and participating in an on-call rotation. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills, previous server administration experience, familiarity with Azure/AWS management, excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

As a Systems Administrator, you will be an integral part of our IT team, helping to maintain and improve Barracuda’s systems. You should be motivated, organized, and have a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong teamwork, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills. This role is hybrid out of the Kanata, Ontario office.
What you’ll be working on
- Manage multiple Azure tenants and licensing.
- Work with admin team on approved projects
- Perform routine system updates, patches, and upgrades.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with senior administrators to optimize system performance and reliability.
- Document server environments and upgrade/maintenance procedures.
- Participation in an On-Call rotation
What you bring to the role
- Strong technical skills and previous experience in server administration.
- Experience with Azure/AWS management
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in information technology or a related field
- Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
