 Nasdaq Technology is looking for a passionate Software Engineer with a focus on software development, to join the Bangalore technology center in India. As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of complex technical systems of varying sizes to new and existing customers and will be part of discovering new technologies within the FinTech industry. We are now looking for a Software Engineer to strengthen the Nasdaq Market Surveillance Core Development team in Bangalore. You will be responsible for the design and development of the core product used for market surveillance solutions in stock exchanges and regulators around the world. We are looking for candidates who share those values along with a genuine desire and drive to deliver top technology solutions to today's markets. With this position we offer Join the development organization for Nasdaq Market Surveillance. The main objective for the Nasdaq Market Surveillance SaaS team in Bangalore is to build state of the art market surveillance service. As our new member, you will work with a group of enthusiastic and experienced team members across Sydney, Toronto and Bangalore. Together with your team, you will be responsible for delivery of enhancement, maintenance of the current software and customer integration to the service. Your role and responsibilities: You will be part of a team located in both Bangalore and Sydney, developing and ultimately delivering software to stock exchanges and market regulators around the world. You will be responsible for key application development and working with internal teams to support customer design and deliverables. Furthermore, you will: <ul><li>Design, develop, troubleshoot and implement Web based applications.</li><li>Take high-level architecture and design models from architects and implement them through detailed design and code.</li><li>Participate in technical design reviews, functional specification reviews, develop project estimates, schedules, test plans, and code reviews.</li><li>Proactively identify and resolve potential problems/issues including authoring of technical specifications.</li><li>Conduct performance testing, review results, identify bottlenecks, and profile code.</li><li>3rd level applications production support, when required. </li></ul>
We expect you to have : <ul><li>Minimum 7 to 8 years of software development experience with ReactJS and expertise in TypeScript and Java.</li><li>In depth knowledge with CSS and HTML a plus.</li><li>Demonstrated expertise in ReactJS, Webpack, Redux with commercial projects in production.</li><li>Proficiency in REST endpoints and APIs, OpenAPI / Swagger specification and WebSocket.</li><li>Exposure to full life cycle development requirements gathering, analysis, design, coding, unit testing and acceptance testing.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills; emphasis on excellent ability to identify and question vague requirements as well as being comfortable in presenting solutions in front of any audience.</li><li>Experience with navigating Windows OS and Unix/Linux OS.</li><li>Education Qualification: Bachelor in computer science. </li></ul>
It would be great if you : <ul><li>Knowledge of the capital markets or financial technology.</li><li>Experience in developing web applications.</li><li>Exposure with additional JavaScript frameworks such as D3.js, rc-dock, Material UI, and/or Java middleware.</li><li>Exposure to development using Java Swing.</li><li>Exposure to cloud services, technologies and development as well as cloud deployment.</li><li>Exposure to version control repositories such as GIT and BitBucket.</li><li>Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and Bash.</li><li>Experience with Linux OS a plus. </li></ul>
