Game District is seeking a Mid-Level 3D Artist with 2-4 years of experience in the gaming industry, preferably mobile. The role involves modeling and texturing high-quality characters, environments, and props optimized for mobile platforms, and preparing assets for Unity integration. The artist will collaborate with various teams, maintain art direction consistency, and optimize assets for performance. Proficiency in 3D modeling tools like Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max, and texturing tools like Substance Painter or Photoshop, along with a strong understanding of low-poly modeling and Unity experience, are essential.
Must Have:- Model and texture high-quality characters, environments, and props optimized for mobile platforms.
- Prepare 3D assets for seamless integration in Unity, including prefab setup, LODs, and collision meshes.
- Collaborate with designers, animators, and developers to ensure assets are properly implemented and performing well in-game.
- Maintain consistency with the game’s art direction and follow technical constraints for mobile platforms.
- Optimize models and textures to meet performance benchmarks (poly count, texture resolution, draw calls, etc.).
- Assist with asset reviews and incorporate feedback to polish and improve the visual quality.
- Maintain clean and organized files, naming conventions, and documentation for handoff to the dev team.
- 2–4 years of professional experience as a 3D Artist in the gaming industry, preferably mobile.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling tools like Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max.
- Skilled in texturing using Substance Painter, Photoshop, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of low-poly modeling, UV unwrapping, and texture baking.
- Hands-on experience working with Unity for asset integration, prefab setup, materials, and lighting.
- Solid portfolio showcasing real-time game assets and mobile-friendly 3D art.
