Job Description

As an Art Director at OLIVER, you will lead the creative team for a specific account, overseeing projects from brief to completion. Your responsibilities include generating engaging creative concepts and content, understanding target audiences, pitching new ideas, and collaborating with designers. You will ensure all work adheres to brand guidelines and best practices, provide leadership, and foster a creative, client-centric culture. The role involves producing various digital and print assets, including campaigns, social media content, e-commerce visuals, and basic video assets.

Must Have:
  • Produce engaging & relevant creative concepts and content that meets client briefs and OLIVER’s standards.
  • Develop a deep understanding of target audiences and client marketing strategy.
  • Pitch new pro-active creative concepts.
  • Work closely with the creative team to create engaging print and digital content.
  • Ensure all team work adheres to guidelines and platform best practices.
  • Provide leadership and direction to designers.
  • Oversee and manage preparation of finished artwork files.
  • Stay up to date with latest category & creative trends.
  • Minimum of 8 years in design at top-level agencies.
  • Excellent client engagement skills.
  • Worked on at least 1 large-scale multi-national brand.
  • Ability to manage, filter, organize, and prioritize workloads.
  • Creative ability with strong Adobe CS (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Basic After Effects experience or other digital animation/video editing software.
  • Working knowledge of print and digital design requirements.
  • Fully proficient in English.
  • Includes both video & basic motion / editing skills.

What you will be doing:

As the Art Director, you will be the Creative Team Lead for the account. In this role, you will be responsible for taking projects from brief to completion, providing new ideas and creativity whilst working closely with the client’s brand guidelines.

  • Produce engaging & relevant creative concepts and content that meets the client brief and OLIVER’s exacting internal standards whilst positively influencing clients with your creative input.
  • Develop a deep understanding of target audiences and the clients marketing strategy to deliver high quality results.
  • Pitch new pro-active creative concepts.
  • Work closely with the creative team to create engaging print and digital content across platforms.
  • Ensure all work created by the team is as per guidelines and meet’s the best practices of the platform.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the designers who will report into you.
  • Foster a culture of creativity whilst keeping client-centricity at the core of all we do.
  • Oversee and manage the preparation of all finished artwork files that will comply with the correct output specifications.
  • Stay up to date with the latest category & creative trends and consistently implement into our creative product.
  • The types of work will include:
  • New Campaign Ideation
  • Social Media (posts, reels, carousels, GIFs, etc.)
  • E-Commerce (Hero images, supplementary images, etc.)
  • Digital (Banners, E-Mailers, etc.)
  • Print & Outdoor (Press, Magazine, Brochures, OOH / Digital OOH, etc.)
  • Basic Video Assets (GIFs, Post Animations, Cut-Downs for Social, etc.)

What you need to be great in this role:

  • This role includes both video & basic motion / editing skills.
  • A minimum of 8 years in design at / across top-level agencies.
  • Excellent client engagement skills with the ability to proactively organize and influence clients and build
  • Worked on at least 1 large-scale multi-national brands in the past.
  • Previous experience with a Banking or Finance brand is optional but good to have.
  • The ability to manage and filter workflow as well as organize and prioritize workloads to maximize productivity.
  • Creative ability with strong Adobe CS (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
  • Basic After Effects experience or any other digital animation software and video editing tool
  • Working knowledge of print and digital design and its requirements is a must.
  • Understanding of how to integrate with a client-side team whilst maintaining a top tier agency service.
  • Languages: Must be fully proficient in English.
