Job Description

PlaySimple Games is seeking an Associate Content Writer with a strong understanding of the gaming industry to undertake level design responsibilities. This role involves designing puzzles from scratch, including theme research, word identification, and difficulty curve design, as well as conceptualizing new puzzle types. The writer will also collaborate on increasing AI usage for level design automation. Candidates should have 1-3 years of content experience, preferably in games or tech, and a keen interest in puzzle games.

Must Have:

Strong understanding of how the gaming industry works
Ability to undertake level designing responsibilities for games
Act as a champion for designing puzzles in a game
Working on the copy and narrative
Create puzzles from scratch, starting from theme research, to identifying interesting words, designing level orientations and difficulty curves
Conceptualize game-changing puzzle types
Work with the team on increasing AI usage to automate level design and difficulty tuning
Strong work ethic and a results-driven attitude
At least 1-3 years of experience in working on content, preferably related to games or tech
Keen interest or experience in puzzle games or other word-based board games like Crosswords, Scrabble, etc.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Exceptional demonstration of creativity, innovation, and attention to detail
