POSITION SUMMARY:
MedscapeLIVE! from WebMD is seeking a motivated, adaptable, team-oriented Junior Graphic Designer to join the Creative Services Group to support all graphics and collateral development for event design. By joining MedscapeLIVE!, the leading provider of live and virtual events in the healthcare industry, you will work with other talented graphic designers, marketing experts, sales, and program management teams to create custom graphics and designs for print and digital marketing collateral materials for live conferences and promotional events. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create a variety graphics and designs in Adobe Creative Cloud for use in both digital and print marketing materials
Create digital graphics and marketing assets (composited graphics, blended images, social media posts, web graphics, web banners, digital signs, slide deck presentations, animated graphics, logos, icons, and other)
Create print collateral materials (postcards, brochures, multipage layouts, folders, tent cards, table-top displays, posters, retractable banners, large scale stage backdrops, and other signage, etc.)
Work with templated layouts and create new custom designs following established branding guidelines
Update existing materials to new, current designs
Ensure visual consistency of the brand across various platforms and touch points
Shadow senior designers to learn new skills, timelines, and business initiatives
SKILLS:
Experienced in conceptual graphics with the ability to combine images of different colors and styles into collages and vignettes, for a seamless blended look to incorporate into layout designs
Expertise in layout of images and photos, graphics, and text with a keen eye for contrast, balance, typography, and page design, for effective readability
Ability to excel in a highly deadline-driven production environment, to pivot quickly between tasks, manage and adapt to rapidly shifting priorities to complete a large volume of work deliverables per week with multiple and competing work priorities, demands, and changes
High-level of professionalism, ability to work independently, and rapid building of collaborative work relationships
Ability to meet daily deadlines, by self-pacing and working independently
Reliable, productive, receptive to direction and feedback, that will actively listen to instructions, follow direction, and subsequently handle workload to completion with minimal to no supervision
Great attention to detail, with accuracy and consistency of work on every piece of collateral developed

Experience with developing marketing and promotional materials for continuing medical education, advertising agency, and/or pharmaceutical international clients a plus
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) with focus in graphic design
1-3 years graphic design experience (Healthcare, Wellness, or Education preferred)
Experience working as a Graphic Designer for international clients including US and Europe
Expert knowledge, high-level of proficiency, and advanced skills working in Adobe Creative Cloud applications including: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and XD
Knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Dreamweaver, Dimension a plus
Proficiency working in Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint)
Proficiency working in Google Apps software (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
Minimum 1 year experience creating print collateral materials and signage including: postcards, mailers, bifold and trifold brochures, multipage booklets and layouts, folders, tent cards, podium signs, posters, retractable banners, large scale stage backdrops, etc
Experience with handling all aspects of printing from layout design to printing of final product
Experience with branding and ability to adhere to a company design brand guidelines for style, font, colors, graphic elements, etc to ensure compliance and consistency in designs
Experience with responsive design, typography, GIF creation, photo editing, and graphics
Portfolio of design work that that demonstrates a history of generating innovative modern graphics and layout designs with a focus on digital and print signage for events and marketing including:
DIGITAL: composited graphics, blended images, social media posts, web graphics, web banners, digital signs, animated graphics
PRINT collateral: postcards, mailers, bifold and trifold brochures, multipage booklets and layouts, folders, tent cards, podium signs, posters, retractable banners, large scale stage backdrops, etc. Please indicate the software used for the creation of each sample.
