The Business Intelligence Analyst will join FindLaw's Advanced Analytics team, focusing on leveraging data insights to improve products and customer experience. This role involves data collection, integration, statistical analysis, data visualization, and presenting findings to stakeholders. Responsibilities include generating thought-provoking analysis using BI and statistical tools like Tableau, Power BI, R, and MicroStrategy, providing client support, identifying opportunities for data-driven problem-solving, and collaborating with business and technology teams to implement findings. The ideal candidate should be a creative thinker with proficiency in the data life cycle and strong communication skills.
Must have:
  • 1+ years of business analytics experience
  • Proficiency in BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy)
  • Knowledge of statistical data analysis techniques
  • Ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets
  • Combine data from disparate systems
  • Proficiency with SQL databases
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-starter with project planning ability
Good to have:
  • Experience with Alteryx
  • Experience with Hadoop, Hue & Datameer
  • Experience with AWS S3, Glue, Snowflake
  • Experience in online marketing, product development, operations analytics

FindLaw's Advanced Analytics team is focused on leveraging information and insights gained across our portfolio of products and services to improve FindLaw products and enhance customer value delivery and customer experience. We are currently seeking a BI Analyst with a
proven record of creating data-driven insights to help solve business and customer questions. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with an ability to understand business needs and problems, and apply data assets and analysis that can help address them. The role is data intensive and requires proficiency in all areas of the data life cycle: data collection and integration with existing assets, statistical analysis and results interpretation, data visualization, and the presentation of findings to fellow team members and stakeholders. The Business Intelligence Analyst leads projects and provides day-to-day support across a broad range of business functions, including market analysis, product performance, operations workflow, and customer facing reporting. As business needs and technologies advance, this role requires
continuous learning and evolution of the analytical tools and techniques used.

Key Responsibilities:
● Responsible for generating thought-provoking analysis using BI and statistical tools such Tableau, Power BI, R, and MicroStrategy
● Provide client support by explaining the research behind analytical products and responding to customer support inquiries
● Work with team members and business partners to identify opportunities where data assets and analysis can help solve business problems and improve customer value delivery.
● Create statistical analyses that answer business questions and provide context to the analytical approach used.
● Summarize and present analysis findings in a clear, actionable manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
● Collaborate with partners across business and technology teams to implement analysis findings with scale in various processes and applications.

Qualifications:
● Bachelors Degree in computer science, statistics, business or related field, or equivalent experience.
● Ability to manipulate, mine and analyze large, complex datasets, as well as ability to combine data from disparate systems and sources.
● 1 plus years of business analytics experience.
● Demonstrated knowledge of BI tools and statistical data analysis techniques (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, MicroStrategy).
● Proficiency in the use and retrieval of information from a variety of data storage platforms – from traditional, relational/SQL databases to big data such as Hadoop using tools like Hue & Datameer. Experience with AWS S3, Glue, and Snowflake are a significant plus.
● Experience providing analytics in the fields of online marketing, product development, and operations is valuable.
● Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence internal and external audiences.
● Self-starter with a proven ability to create project plans and take initiative to successfully execute to hit milestone and adjust as analysis dictates.
