Job Description

Responsible for ensuring the supervised team handles auditing, submission, and follow-ups to meet daily Billing department SLAs. This role involves direct work with National Account Teams, ensuring customer billing requirements are met, and addressing NTE issues. The lead communicates discrepancies, supports the team with daily, weekly, and month-end responsibilities, and manages employee performance. They also set up new corporate customer billing requirements, document processes, and resolve issues with Accounts Receivable Specialists, running reports to support team functions.
Must have:
  • Work directly with National Account Teams.

  • Fix Unbillable items so invoices can be submitted.
  • Support team in daily, weekly, and month-end responsibilities.
  • Perform performance management for assigned employees.
  • Set up new corporate customer billing requirements and document processes.
  • Work with Accounts Receivable Specialist on resolving issues.
  • Run daily reporting to support team and individual functions.
  • Lead group supervision regarding questions, workload distribution, and tasks.
  • Cross-train on all areas within billing team and relevant company areas.

Reports To: Accounting Operations Manager

Department: Accounting

Position Status: Salary Exempt

Job Summary:

Responsible for ensuring the team supervised is handling the required auditing, submitting, and follow-ups required to meet the daily SLAs of Billing department.

What You'll Do:

  • Works directly with National Account Teams.
  • Ensure that customer billing requirements are met.
  • Ensure NTE issues are addressed and adjusted.
  • Communicates regarding all discrepancies found.
  • Regarding fixing Unbillable items so invoices can be submitted.
  • Help support team in regard to daily, weekly, and month end responsibilities.
  • Performance management regarding employees assigned.
  • Responsible for setting up new corporate customer billing requirements and documenting the process. As needed, attends customer training sessions, etc. to ensure that we are accurately meeting the customer’s needs.
  • Works with the Accounts Receivable Specialist on resolving issues.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
  • Able to run daily reporting to support the team and individual functions including invoices not submitted and invoices with issues.
  • Leading group supervising in regard to questions, workload distribution, and tasks.
  • Cross training on all areas within billing team and relevant areas within the company to support the billing team efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

What You Need:

  • 3+ years of experience in billing, invoicing, finance, accounting.
  • Proven experience coordinating multiple projects/assignments simultaneously and completing assigned tasks accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Must demonstrate a strong attention to detail with excellent organization skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Expected to cite examples of organization and time management/methods used to manage or prioritize workload demands.
  • Demonstrated experience always maintaining a calm and professional demeanor, exercising excellent judgment, and maintaining a positive perspective in all situations.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and cite examples of experience working in an environment with a high degree of stress/time demands associated with heavy volumes and multiple demands.
  • Proven experience identifying and solving problems while streamlining processes to continuously improve productivity and output.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal communication skills with experience and tactfulness in conveying information to and dealing with internal and external customers in a clear, focused, and concise manner.
  • Demonstrated high level of initiative and proven ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrate ability to delegate, coach, and direct individuals.
  • Ability to document processes completed and understanding of what they are doing.
  • Must have excel skills that include ability to work with functions at minimum.

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • More than basic understand and working knowledge of excel Ð including but not limited to the ability to work with formulas (creating), macros, and multiple tabs in workbooks.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in NetSuite a plus.
  • May require extended hours during peak workloads or special projects.
  • Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to manage the stress of a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to meet the in-person requirements of the team and/or business needs.
