We seek an enthusiastic Design Technologist to join our team, focusing on creating high-quality digital assets and supporting project teams. This role involves implementing best practices, maintaining digital standards, and contributing to a culture of innovation. Must have:
  • Create, modify, and maintain assets within our Revit library, including furniture, fixtures, and materials.
  • Apply established standards for naming conventions and parameters to ensure consistent and performant assets.
  • Assist in maintaining and deploying core Revit project templates, schedules, and summaries.
  • Perform regular quality control checks on BIM assets and project models to identify inconsistencies.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by testing new workflows and providing feedback.
  • Help maintain and expand internal design systems by creating assets aligned with standards.
  • Prepare clear technical documentation for new components and assemblies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • 5-7+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit, including custom family creation, materials, and parameter management.
  • A portfolio demonstrating Revit skills is required.
  • Meticulous and organized approach to work, with high attention to detail.
  • Clear and effective communication, both visually and verbally.
  • Eager to learn, adaptable, and proactive in contributing to team goals.
Good to have:
  • Experience with FF&E documentation
  • Creation of design standard components
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Familiarity with 3D visualization tools like Twinmotion or Unreal Engine
  • Familiarity with ADA guidelines and other relevant building codes

We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Design Technologist to join our team and help bring this vision to life.

In this role, you will be a key member of our design technology team, focusing on creating high-quality digital assets and supporting our project teams. You will work alongside senior technologists to help implement best practices, maintain our digital standards, and contribute to our culture of innovation and excellence. This is a perfect role for a skilled creator who is eager to grow their career at the intersection of design and technology.

This role is based on-site at Flow's HQ in the Bay Harbor Islands.

Responsibilities:

  • BIM Asset Library Creation: Create, modify, and maintain assets within our Revit library, including furniture, fixtures, and materials. You will apply our established standards for naming conventions and parameters to ensure all assets are consistent and performant.
  • Project Template & Toolkit Support: Assist in maintaining and deploying our core Revit project templates, schedules, and summaries. You will help ensure these toolkits are accessible, current, and properly utilized by our design teams.
  • Quality Control & Process Support: Perform regular quality control checks on BIM assets and project models to identify inconsistencies. You will support process improvement initiatives by testing new workflows and providing feedback to senior team members.
  • Design Systems & Standards Implementation: Help maintain and expand our internal design systems by creating assets that align with our standards. You will prepare clear technical documentation for new components and assemblies under the guidance of senior staff.

Ideal Background:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field, with 5-7+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit, including custom family creation, materials, and parameter management. A portfolio demonstrating your Revit skills is required.
  • A meticulous and organized approach to your work, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Experience with FF&E documentation and the creation of design standard components is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and familiarity with 3D visualization tools like Twinmotion or Unreal Engine.
  • Familiarity with ADA guidelines and other relevant building codes.
  • A clear and effective communicator, both visually and verbally.
