Job Description

Functions

  • Ensure the cleanliness of guest hallways at all times during the day, including cleaning glass, furniture, wall surfaces, windows (interior and exterior), high dusting, light fixtures, air vents, metals, sweeping and mopping floors and stairs, cleaning and shampooing carpets, cleaning walls, doors, frames, rails, changing curtains, upholstery, and projects assigned by management.
  • Ensure the correct disposal of all trash from the floors.
  • Assist and follow up on guest inquiries, requirements, and complaints quickly, efficiently, and courteously.
  • Clean and service bedrooms, bathrooms, and associated areas to the hotel's required cleaning standard as needed.
  • Move and lift beds, cribs, furniture, and fixtures, etc., as needed and instructed by the supervisor.
  • Dismantle rooms and restock floor pantries as needed.
  • Follow key signing procedures and assume responsibility for assigned keys.
  • Deliver all lost property immediately and follow the hotel's lost and found procedure.
  • Coordinate and assist with inventory as needed.
  • Ensure that all equipment is maintained in serviceable condition and report faults immediately.
  • Deliver all guest property efficiently and correctly.
  • Report any damage to linen, curtains, blinds, and upholstery to the Floor Supervisor.
  • Assist co-workers in performing similar or related tasks as needed.
  • Carry out any project and assignment as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor, Executive Housekeeper, Director of Operations.
  • Attend any meetings or training sessions as needed.
  • You will maintain a positive attitude and pay attention to detail throughout the shift.
  • As an important part of a team, you will try to help colleagues who need assistance from both the department and other departments.
  • You will remain calm during busy periods to perform work efficiently and ask for help when needed.
  • Any other reasonable task assigned by the supervisor or manager.
  • We recognize that we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service. Occasionally, we will ask each team member to perform various related tasks as needed, in order to provide exceptional customer service. You will control the night hours, days, and/or overtime of the staff under your charge.
