Job Description

This Co-op position at Philips offers a paid internship opportunity for graduate students (MS) to gain hands-on experience as a Healthcare Data Scientist. The role involves designing, developing, and deploying algorithm software assets using Machine Learning/Generative AI, focusing on data engineering, analyzing data patterns from large data lake-houses, and creating data analysis and visualizations for clinical care and patient management. Good To Have:
  • Knowledge of cloud computing and its application in data science.
  • Experience with cloud architecture based on Amazon Web Services.
  • Leveraging AWS Data pipeline to process and move data using AWS services like EC2, Athena and S3.
Must Have:
  • Designing, testing, developing, deploying, maintaining, and improving algorithm software assets building on a solid knowledge of Machine learning/Generative AI technologies.
  • Data Engineering, focusing on feature engineering, querying and analyzing data patterns.
  • Utilizing large cross-country data lake-houses to build relevant insights and algorithms for clinical care and patient management.
  • Designing and developing data analysis and visualizations and supporting customer data analytics processes.
  • Currently pursuing a graduate (MS) degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of data science concepts and methodologies.
  • Experience with machine learning algorithms for classification, regression, clustering, reinforcement learning, dimensionality reduction.
  • Expertise in one or more application domains of NLP, image processing, generative AI and time series analysis.
  • Skilled in Python ML frameworks, SQL queries and at least one major programming language such as C#.

Your role:

You're the right fit if:

  • MS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related degrees.
  • Strong understanding of data science concepts and methodologies. Experience with machine learning algorithms for classification, regression, clustering, reinforcement learning, dimensionality reduction with expertise in one or more application domains of NLP, image processing, generative AI and time series analysis.
  • Skilled in Python ML frameworks, SQL queries and at least one major programming language such as C#.
