Job Description

As a Graduate Data Engineer at Dun & Bradstreet, you will be an innovator shaping the future of data-driven decision-making. You will join a passionate team, collaborating on real-world challenges using cutting-edge technologies. Your role involves designing and optimizing data pipelines, building robust interfaces, and leveraging cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure. You will participate in all stages of the data lifecycle, working in cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and maintainable data solutions.
Must Have:
  • BSc in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline or equivalent
  • Demonstrable coding skills in Python or similar languages
  • Basic understanding of design patterns and clean coding principles
  • Exposure to unit testing and test-driven development techniques
  • A passion for writing well-documented, maintainable, and testable code
  • A genuine interest in building a career in technology and data engineering
  • Curiosity about data analysis, performance optimization, and process improvement
  • Willingness to learn and grow in an agile team environment using SCRUM and lean principles

What does this mean? You’ll be immersed in the development and delivery of advanced data solutions, including:

  • Design and optimize data pipelines that handle billions of records across diverse sources
  • Build robust, scalable interfaces that enable seamless data access and integration
  • Leverage platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure to deploy resilient, high-performance data systems.
  • Participate in all stages of the data lifecycle—from ingestion and transformation to analytics and visualization
  • Work in cross-functional teams to deliver features iteratively, ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability
  • Write clean, testable, and extensible code that supports long-term evolution and low-cost maintenance.
  • Explore new ideas through proof-of-concepts, wireframes, and early prototypes to validate and refine solutions
  • Collaborate closely with QA to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and compliance through rigorous testing

How will this work?

  • You will join an agile development team and work alongside experienced engineers to help develop and build world-class solutions
  • You will receive in-role training on using the tools, techniques and best practices
  • We won’t just let you sink or swim! You will be allocated a buddy and go through an orientation programme. This will familiarise you with D&B culture, who’s who and how to get stuff done in D&B
  • You will be given the platform to contribute your ideas at every step of your journey

About you?
