About the job:
The Google Payments Compliance team ensures business is done with legitimate entities while adhering to applicable financial regulations. The team promotes a safer digital ecosystem by meeting legal and compliance requirements, upholding company priorities and values, and prioritizing users. As part of the team, you'll identify and address pain points and gaps in existing processes and identification policies. You will develop and implement efficient verification processes across Google and ensure Google's innovative pursuits are grounded in promoting a safer digital ecosystem. Responsibilities: Conduct root cause analyses, analyze operational data to identify trends and potential issues, and develop action plans to address identified problems. Review processes, consult, and appeal decisions to identify areas for improvement to optimize operations. Develop and deliver in-person compliance training and communication content. Serve as the primary point of contact for customer identification programs escalations from the business process operations teams, investigate and resolve customer identification issues, and escalate to management when necessary. Be a product specialist for compliance operations tools, Identify and report bugs to the Engineering team, debug technical issues, and manage access.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting

In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.
