Job Description

As a Scrum Master, you will be a key member of an Agile team responsible for facilitating Scrum practices, ensuring team alignment with Agile principles, and removing obstacles to progress. This role acts as a servant leader, coach, and facilitator, helping the team deliver high-quality products efficiently.
Must have:
  • Guide the team on Agile/Scrum practices and values.
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Remove impediments and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure a well-defined backlog.
  • Track progress and performance using Agile metrics.
  • Promote transparency, accountability, and team empowerment.
  • Uphold the framework and integrity of scrum practices.
  • Mentor and coach the teams on Agile methodology and Scrum values and process.
  • Facilitate PI breakout rooms and sprint planning processes.
  • Empower team commitment to PI and sprint delivery.
  • Participate in longer term roadmap planning.
  • Manage monthly capitalization processes and change management processes.
  • Monitor and track PI milestones, and facilitate mitigation of issues and risks.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve problems and remove impediments.
  • Ensure that release deliverables are submitted and quality standards are met.
  • Prepare and present bi-weekly PI Performance Reviews.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of scrum team processes and performance, and collaborate with the team on changes and improvements.
Good to have:
  • Experience having technical competency is a plus
  • SAFe certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide the team on Agile/Scrum practices and values.
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Remove impediments and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure a well-defined backlog.
  • Track progress and performance using Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts).
  • Promote transparency, accountability, and team empowerment.
  • Uphold the framework and integrity of scrum practices
  • Mentor and coach the teams on Agile methodology and Scrum values and process
  • Facilitate PI (Program Increment breakout rooms) for their respective teams and sprint planning processes, as well as all other scrum ceremonies, and empower team commitment to PI and sprint delivery.
  • Participate in longer term roadmap planning
  • Manage monthly capitalization processes and change management processes
  • Monitor and track PI milestones, and facilitate mitigation of issues and risks
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve problems and remove impediments/barriers for the team; escalate to the RTE as needed
  • Ensure that release deliverables are submitted and that quality standards defined by the team are consistently met (per acceptance criteria and definition of done)
  • Prepare and present bi-weekly PI Performance Reviews
  • Monitor the effectiveness of scrum team processes and performance, and collaborate with the team on changes and improvements

Impact You'll Make:

Candidate Requirement:

  • 5+ years of overall experience and 2-3 years experience for SM
  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • Must have a Scrum Certification.
  • Strong facilitation and collaboration skills. Must be fluent in communication.
  • Strong understanding of and demonstrated experience in using Agile Software like: Jira/Confluence or Agile Central
  • Work well with virtual teams and have a flexible work structure that allows for early morning/late night calls with resources in other countries.
  • Must have experience in Facilitating PI (Program Increment) and sprint planning processes, as well as all other scrum ceremonies, and empower team commitment to PI and sprint delivery.

Good to have:

  • Experience having technical competency is a plus

Note:

This hybrid role requires fulfilling job responsibilities both virtually and in-person at a designated TU office location. Employees are expected to work on-site for a minimum of two days per week, in accordance with TU’s current workplace policy. The number of in-office days may be adjusted in the future based on updates to company guidelines.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
