Job Description

As a Customer Assessment Analyst, you will collaborate with Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and various Business Units, along with Ansys customers, to ensure their security requirements are met. Your role involves developing new processes to streamline customer assessments, reduce completion times, and identify trends in customer security requests. This is crucial for maintaining necessary controls to safeguard customer data. You will respond to customer assessments promptly, communicate effectively with internal teams and customers, and work with team members to meet customer security needs. Utilizing knowledge management procedures and partnering with stakeholders across Ansys will be key to providing accurate responses regarding data security and contributing to automated and streamlined customer assessment processes.
Must have:

  • Contribute materials for cybersecurity discussions
  • Experience in risk management, vendor assessments
  • Strong knowledge of NIST and ISO 27001
  • Familiarity with all cybersecurity risk domains
  • Ability to plan and coordinate projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Associate degree or higher
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English (C2)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
Good to have:
  • SANS Certification or other cybersecurity certifications
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA)
  • Experience with cybersecurity risk management tools
  • Previous experience reviewing and negotiating contracts

Summary / Role Purpose

As our Customer Assessment Analyst, you will work closely with Cybersecurity peers, Information Technology, multiple Business Units and Ansys customers to ensure that customer security requirements are met.  In addition, you will help to develop new processes and procedures to streamline our customer assessment process, reduce time to completion and identify trends regarding customer security requests to ensure that Ansys is providing necessary controls to safeguard customer data.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer assessments in a timely manner
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers to understand the request(s)
  • Work closely with team members to ensure that the security needs of Ansys customers are met
  • Utilize processes and knowledge management procedures to enable Ansys to quickly answer customer inquiries
  • Partner with a wide range of stakeholders within Ansys to understand their products and processes to ensure accurate responses regarding data security
  • Provide input and contribute materials to assist various business units when interacting with customers regarding cybersecurity issues
  • Contribute to on-going efforts around building an increasingly automated and streamlined customer assessment response process
  • Apply knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001
  • Review and assess customer cybersecurity contracts to ensure compliance and mitigate risk

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Experience in risk management, vendor assessments, and audit procedures related to cybersecurity
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001
  • Familiarity with all cybersecurity risk domains
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects effectively, as well as provide a positive customer experience
  • Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional setting
  • Associate degree or higher
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity or a related field  
  • Strong proficiency in written and verbal communication in English, equivalent to C2 level, with at least three years of work experience in an English-speaking environment
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment, managing deadlines and priorities with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
