Job Description

We develop state-of-the-art flight simulation solutions for civil and military applications. We are looking for a dedicated Database Modeler (m/f/d) to strengthen our team, who will work with passion and precision on the creation and maintenance of geographical databases for our simulation systems. Your tasks include preparing and selecting geo and vector data, geo-referencing, digitizing vector data, ensuring data correlation and consistency, generating target databases, building and maintaining database projects, publishing and testing databases, verifying data quality, creating technical documentation, and training customers.
Must have:
  • Preparation and selection of geo and vector data for integration into simulation systems
  • Geo-referencing and digitization of vector data
  • Ensuring the correlation and consistency of different data types
  • Generation of target databases according to technical specifications
  • Building and maintaining database projects and associated libraries
  • Publication and testing of databases in simulation environments
  • Verification of data quality and functionality
  • Creation of technical documentation
  • Training and support for customers and internal teams
  • Completed studies or training in geodesy, geoinformatics, cartography, aerospace engineering or comparable qualification
  • Experience in processing and modeling geodata
  • Knowledge of GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and CAD systems
  • Understanding of simulation systems and their requirements
  • Very good German and English language skills

Your Profile

  • Completed studies or training in geodesy, geoinformatics, cartography, aerospace engineering or comparable qualification
  • Experience in processing and modeling geodata
  • Knowledge of GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and CAD systems
  • Understanding of simulation systems and their requirements
  • Analytical thinking, structured way of working and high quality orientation
  • Communication skills and teamwork
  • Very good German and English language skills
