Job Description

This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining embedded software for automotive applications, utilizing expertise in embedded systems and RTOS. Key responsibilities include implementing automotive communication protocols, integrating software with microcontrollers, and ensuring compliance with standards like AUTOSAR and ASPICE. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead testing and debugging, manage requirements with tools like DOORS, and contribute to quality assurance through code reviews and static analysis.
Must have:
  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded software solutions for automotive applications.
  • Leverage expertise in embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Implement automotive communication protocols and integrate software modules with microcontroller architectures.
  • Integrate embedded software development activities into the automotive product development process, following standards such as AUTOSAR and ASPICE.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, develop software architectures, and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Lead testing and debugging efforts for embedded software components, utilizing tools like Vector CANalyzer and CANoe.
  • Manage embedded software requirements using tools like DOORS.
  • Document software design specifications, test plans, and validation reports.
  • Utilize version control systems such as Git and collaboration platforms like JIRA and Gerrit.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive product development processes and standards such as ASPICE.
  • Conduct code reviews, perform static analysis, and contribute to quality assurance activities.

Job Details

Major Accountabilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain embedded software solutions for automotive applications, leveraging expertise in embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS).

2. Implement automotive communication protocols and integrate software modules with microcontroller architectures to ensure seamless operation within vehicle systems.

3. Integrate embedded software development activities into the automotive product development process, following established procedures and standards such as AUTOSAR and ASPICE.

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, develop software architectures, and deliver high-quality embedded software solutions in alignment with project objectives.

5. Lead testing and debugging efforts for embedded software components, utilizing tools like Vector CANalyzer and CANoe to analyze communication protocols and verify system behavior.

6. Manage embedded software requirements using tools like DOORS, ensuring traceability and alignment with project goals and customer needs.

7. Document software design specifications, test plans, and validation reports to support the development and verification of embedded software solutions.

8. Utilize version control systems such as Git and collaboration platforms like JIRA and Gerrit to manage software repositories and facilitate team collaboration.

9. Ensure compliance with automotive product development processes and standards such as ASPICE, adhering to established guidelines and procedures throughout the software development lifecycle.

10. Conduct code reviews, perform static analysis, and contribute to quality assurance activities to validate the integrity and safety of embedded software implementations.
