General Manager & MCU HUB Lead China

The General Manager & MCU Hub Lead China works in closes alignment and cooperation  with our GM MCU and GM IoT& Industrial while being the business owner in NXP’s structure and being responsible for our entire business activities, from the definition of future innovation & IP, to product concepts, making the smart choices between ambition and execution capabilities, customer engagements and product delivery until the end of the life-cycle. All company commitments are ultimately owned by our General Managers and we expect outstanding leadership of our GMs independently of whether the resources are fully owned or shared for efficiency or effectiveness reasons.

Objectives

This business already been set on an accelerated growth path but currently in a different set up. We are looking for an experienced leader to take it to the following level rather than simply nurturing the path already charted: extending our roadmap, developing our position in the ecosystem, making strategic moves.

We are looking for an energetic and visionary leader with a very strong customer focus and excellent understanding of the China MCU landscape in NXP’s focus areas like IoT, Industrial and Automotive.

The Deliverables of the Position

• Achievement of agreed revenue targets, market share, margin target and contribution EBIT
• Roadmap with clear priorities and innovations, executable within R&D constraints
• Representation of NXP in standardization bodies
• Go-to-market strategy and NXP positioning in the market eco system
• Efficient marketing mix based on given marketing entitlement
• Market intelligence data

The Requirements

• Multi-year experience in running a semiconductor P&L as a General Manager or Marketing Lead.
• The successful candidate is a smart leader who has a role-model track record in driving growth and profitability preferably in the semiconductor.
• The candidate does not only understand the MCU market but is also able to change the rules and thinks from “end-to-end” in complete systems and applications. The position owner has experience in moving up the value chain beyond pure semiconductor solutions.
• Manage an environment, where priorities shift rapidly. The position owner is a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and compellingly and who understands how to drive a high level of focus and excellence with a strong, talented and opinionated team.
• Proven ability to design, deliver, and operate technical solutions that are robust in the face of failure around it. It is important that this leader has an operational component to her leadership skill set.
