Job Description

This internship position at NXP's Powertrain and Electrification Analog Driver segment in Toulouse involves validating the latest generation of high-voltage gate drivers for SiC and IGBT power modules used in electric cars. The intern will define and execute fault injection test plans in the lab, using evaluation boards and power modules, to ensure product safety (ISO26262) and create reports and application notes.
Good To Have:
  • Good knowledge of power electronics and motor control applications.
Must Have:
  • Define fault injection test plan in collaboration with application and safety engineers.
  • Execute laboratory tests using evaluation boards and IGBT/SIC power modules.
  • Create fault injection reports for clients and application notes for gate driver configuration.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment (oscilloscope, power supplies, etc.).
  • Knowledge in electronic board design (Orcad / Cadence).
  • Knowledge of C, Labview.
  • Good level of English.

The Powertrain and Electrification Analog Driver Segment Line, based in Toulouse, is responsible for developing high-voltage gate drivers for SiC and IGBT power modules used in electric cars. We are recruiting a final year intern for a period of 3-4 months to work on our latest generation of gate drivers to validate our product during fault injection to ensure a good level of safety (ISO26262).

Your Missions

You will be in charge of:

  • Definition of the fault injection test plan in collaboration with the application engineer and the safety engineer.
  • Execution of laboratory tests using our various evaluation boards and IGBT and SIC power modules.
  • Creation of a fault injection report for our customers and application notes describing how the gate driver should be configured.

Your Profile

  • Education Level: Bac +2/+3, IUT Physical Measurement or Electronics
  • Familiar with laboratory equipment (oscilloscope, power supplies, etc.).
  • Knowledge in electronic board design (Orcad / Cadence). Good knowledge of power electronics and motor control applications is an advantage.
  • Language knowledge: C, Labview.
  • A good level of English is required, working in an international multi-site team.
