The Head of Account Management will lead the Account Management team within the Global Business Development team of Razer Gold, driving revenue and partnership opportunities globally. This role involves managing key strategic enterprise merchants to strengthen business relationships, expand services, and foster top-line growth. Responsibilities include developing account plans, negotiating contracts, analyzing customer health, providing commercial perspectives to technical teams, cultivating strong merchant relationships, and acting as a merchant advocate. The candidate will also provide regular reports and reviews. This position requires a candidate capable of managing multiple merchant relationships within a global matrix organization. The candidate should also demonstrate the ability to drive top-line growth, preferably with a strong network of contacts in the games, entertainment or payments industry.
Must have:
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in account management or business development.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with ability to create business strategies.
  • Successful track record in building stakeholder rapport.

  • Strong network of contacts and good knowledge in the games, entertainment and payments industry.
  • Good decision-making skills and effective problem solver.

Job Responsibilities :

The candidate will lead the Account Management team within the Global Business Development team of Razer Gold and work closely with other functions including Sales, Marketing, Engineering etc to drive revenue and partnership opportunities globally. The candidate will also be responsible for managing key strategic enterprise merchants to strengthen our business relationship, expand our services, and drive top-line growth through our partnership with them.

This position requires a self-directed individual with proven experience in managing multiple merchants relationships within a global matrix organization. An ideal candidate can demonstrate the ability to drive top line growth through past experiences and relative examples. Possession of a strong network of contacts in the games and entertainment industry and/or knowledge on payment industry for games and entertainment is an advantage(s).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of account plans including relationships building, key people coverage plans, opportunity prioritization, overall account strategy and a budget/target for business growth and development
  • Responsible for negotiations with our merchants, including drafting, reviewing and executing contracts
  • Executive analysis of customer health to drive satisfaction, adoption, retention, and reduce churn
  • Provide a commercial perspective to tech, engineering and operational teams while coordinating new product initiatives that support the Razer Gold strategy or merchants’ requests
  • Cultivate a strong lasting business relationship to merchants through providing professional account management service in order to grow merchant loyalty
  • Act as a merchant advocate with a focus on improving the Razer Gold experience to unlock new avenues of business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales objectives.
  • Providing leadership to the function in the development
  • Provide regular reports, briefings and reviews as required

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of relevant working experiences in account management or business development
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to consume, process and transform large amounts of information into actionable business insights and develop strategies for our merchants.
  • Successful track record in building rapport and relationships with stakeholders externally and internally with exposure to working across geographies
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving complex matrixed environment.
  • Has a strong network of contacts and good knowledge in the games, entertainment, and/or payments industry.
  • Good decision-making skills and effective problem solver.

Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrate superior abilities in communication, active listening, negotiation and presentation at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Keen sense and interest in latest technology developments, market trends, near future trends and web technologies.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and proactive. Ability to think outside of the box.
  • Extensive, accurate current knowledge of company offerings and industry trends.
  • Fast learner, self-motivated, and self-starter who can act on own initiatives.
  • Knowledge on payment industry for games and entertainment is an advantage.
