Job Description

Reporting directly to the Business Unit Director and with a functional reporting to HR Group, you will oversee the comprehensive HR lifecycle for our North America operations, delivering all HR & compliance activities to support professionals across multiple locations. This role involves strategic HR leadership, including developing HR strategies aligned with business objectives and managing key HR metrics. Responsibilities also cover operations and talent management, such as employee relations, recruitment, engagement, performance management, and training. The HR Manager will ensure full legal compliance with US/Mexico employment laws, manage compensation and benefits, and lead a team of HR professionals across North America.
Must have:
  • Oversee comprehensive HR lifecycle for North America operations
  • Deliver all HR & compliance activities across multiple locations
  • Develop HR strategy aligned with business objectives
  • Define strategic HR plans supporting current and future needs
  • Manage employee relations, demands, grievances, and workplace issues
  • Coordinate recruitment processes and talent acquisition strategies
  • Drive engagement, development, and retention initiatives
  • Oversee performance management systems and training programs
  • Ensure full legal compliance with US/Mexico employment laws
  • Stay current with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Coordinate US payroll compliance and ensure successful audits
  • Maintain competitive compensation and benefits programs
  • Manage OSHA requirements
  • Lead and develop a team of 3+ HR professionals
  • Provide guidance on complex HR matters and escalated issues
  • 5-15 years progressive HR experience, preferably in multinational corporations with multi-state operations
  • Deep US labor law knowledge
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills
  • Change management and goal-oriented mindset
  • HRIS systems and HR analytics proficiency
  • Bachelor's in HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • Travel flexibility between locations
  • Cross-timezone coordination capability
  • Cultural sensitivity for diverse, multicultural environment

  • Master's/MBA + HR certifications (SHRM-SCP, SPHR)

Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership

• Develop HR strategy aligned with business objectives

• Define strategic HR plans supporting current and future needs

• Build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships and establish key HR metrics for executive decision-making

Operations & Talent Management

• Manage employee relations by addressing demands, grievances and workplace issues

• Coordinate recruitment processes and talent acquisition strategies

• Drive engagement, development, and retention initiatives

• Oversee performance management systems and training programs

Compliance & Benefits

• Ensure full legal compliance with US/Mexico employment laws

• Stay current with federal, state and local employment laws

• Coordinate US payroll compliance and ensure successful internal and external audits

• Maintain competitive compensation and benefits programs

• Manage OSHA requirements

Team Leadership

• Lead and develop team of 3+ HR professionals

• Provide guidance on complex HR matters and escalated issues

Qualifications

Experience: 5-15 years progressive HR experience, preferably in multinational corporations with multi-state operations

Core Skills:

• Deep US labor law knowledge. Knowledge of Mexico labor law will be a plus.

• Strong business acumen and communication skills

• Change management and goal-oriented mindset

• HRIS systems and HR analytics proficiency

Education:

Required: Bachelor's in HR, Business Administration, or related field

Preferred: Master's/MBA + HR certifications (SHRM-SCP, SPHR)

Additional Requirements:

• Travel flexibility between locations

• Cross-timezone coordination capability

• Cultural sensitivity for diverse, multicultural environment
