Job Description
Responsibilities:
As an Account Manager, you apply your expertise in account management, knowledge of Telstra’s capabilities and products, and awesome relationship building skills to deliver the following responsibilities:
- Take ownership for establishing and managing customer and channel partner relationships through applying knowledge of their business and Telstra’s services/products to support ongoing relationship development, drive customer satisfaction and contribute toward portfolio revenue growth.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of assigned channel partner and account plans, including developing and leading the account strategy in order to support the retention and growth of customer portfolios.
- Take accountability for managing customer and partner relationships, responding to quickly, efficiently and professionally to their queries and complaints, and where necessary effectively escalating issues and risks to more experienced colleagues and managers as required.
- Authentically collaborate with peers, team members and key stakeholders across Telstra to identify, qualify and develop sales leads in order to effectively manage the opportunity pipeline for a defined portfolio.
- Support the development of regular reporting to monitor portfolio performance against defined financial and customer targets (revenue, profitability, NPS).
- Apply knowledge of Telstra’s capabilities, market insights, and an understanding of the client’s business strategy to identify new business opportunities and achieve revenue and sales objectives for a defined portfolio.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of successful sales or channel management experience, ideally, but not mandatory, with organisations in technology or digital network infrastructure; e.g. telecommunications, data centre, and/or relevant technology sectors.
- Experience selling services internationally, ideally into the APAC region, is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Highly driven and self-motivated with a demonstrated ability be able to successfully operate despite times of ambiguity, either from the customer, partner or internally.
- Strong relationships and established networks with potential target Enterprise acquisition accounts is highly desirable.
- Well organised with a high level of proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Experienced with Salesforce.com CRM tools.
