Job Summary

Job Description

As an IVV Engineer, you will play a key role in the quality and reliability of radar HMIs. Your missions include analyzing and preparing functional specifications, deploying and maintaining test benches, designing and executing test plans (functional, HMI, non-regression, performance), identifying and tracking anomalies, and continuously improving IVV methods and tools. You will work within the Radar Embedded Processing competence center, contributing to the development of hardware and software solutions for air surveillance radars.
Must have:
  • Understand and analyze functional, HMI, and system/equipment interface specifications.
  • Participate in defining validation strategies.
  • Deploy and maintain test benches, simulation platforms, and hybrid environments.
  • Configure necessary tools and means (simulators, data injectors, operator stations).
  • Define and formalize test plans (functional, HMI, non-regression, performance).
  • Develop realistic user scenarios and automated scripts (Python, Robot Framework, Squish, Selenium…).
  • Conduct validation campaigns in simulated and system integration environments.
  • Identify, reproduce, and characterize anomalies (graphical interface, communications, operator interactions).
  • Develop internal tools if necessary to facilitate reproduction/analysis.
  • Report, track, and collaborate with development teams via Jira, Gitlab or similar tools.
  • Enrich the test base and ensure its coverage as software evolves.
  • Propose optimization axes for IVV methods and tools.
  • Engineering degree or equivalent Bac+5 in computer science, software engineering, electronics, telecommunications or embedded systems.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in testing, integration or validation, preferably in a real-time critical environment (defense, aeronautics, railway, space).
  • Good knowledge of Linux / networks.
Good to have:
  • Basics in programming and scripting (Python, Java).
  • Knowledge of HMI testing tools (QFTest, Squish, Robot Framework, Selenium or equivalents).
  • Experience with AI topics.

Your daily life

Located 20 minutes from the Paris-Saclay technology hub, the site is one of the largest centers of excellence for surface radars. We contribute to developing, designing, integrating, and testing air surveillance radars dedicated to target detection and identification.

Within the SRA Business Line, the Radar Embedded Processing competence center is responsible for designing and delivering digital hardware and software solutions for air surveillance or multifunction radars. This competence center is organized into sections responsible for developing employee skills, making partnerships effective, and optimizing their activity's product policy to address the entire range of radars. Our software performs all radar functions: OS customization, supervision, command & control, sequencing, signal and data processing, operator consoles.

Your profile

Do you have the ambition and desire to thrive in IVV missions specialized in HMI?

You have an engineering degree or equivalent Bac+5 in computer science, software engineering, electronics, telecommunications or embedded systems. In addition:

  • You have at least 4 years of experience in testing, integration or validation, preferably in a real-time critical environment (defense, aeronautics, railway, space).
  • You have good knowledge of Linux / networks.
  • Ideally, you have basics in programming and scripting (Python, Java), knowledge of HMI testing tools (QFTest, Squish, Robot Framework, Selenium or equivalents) and experience with AI topics.
