About the team
The PMO (Project Management Office) department coordinates project milestones, performs project-based order management, and supports Thales Naval by providing the necessary expertise. By increasing predictability and providing clear insights into costs, time, and data quality, we contribute to better decision-making and promote project performance throughout the total lifecycle of the projects.
About your future job
In this role, you report directly to the Team Lead PMO and support Project Managers on assigned projects. You act as the primary interface for deliveries and oversee data integrity in our Oracle system regarding contractual deliveries. Your contributions help ensure alignment between customer expectations and contractual obligations, from the moment the contract is concluded until delivery and invoicing.
The work is dynamic and requires adaptability, resilience under pressure, and an overview of the bigger picture, as one decision can affect multiple departments. You must feel comfortable asking questions, tackling challenges, and setting clear expectations. The role combines both administrative and proactive coordination tasks.
The main tasks are
- Enter contract-related project orders, sales orders, repairs, returns, and quotes, ensuring orders are processed smoothly from start to finish.
- Coordinate with various departments (such as planning and logistics), ensure timely execution, and address any order-related issues or deviations.
- Enter, monitor, and report on contractual agreements, such as lists of deliverable items (LODIs) and cash milestones.
- Coordinate the timely shipment of deliveries, including necessary documents and compliance with export/security classifications.
- Perform contract management tasks for smaller projects.
Why are you a good match
We are looking for a new colleague who:
- A bachelor's degree in commercial, legal, logistics, or business fields or equivalent work experience is preferred;
- Experience in project and order management;
- APICS CPIM certification is a plus;
- Strong interpersonal and social skills;
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and flexible in high-pressure situations;
- Ability to make connections and maintain an overview within the organization;
- A team player with a service-oriented attitude and effective communication skills in both Dutch and English;
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) is preferred.
What you get in return
- A challenging job in a great team within our high-tech, innovative work environment. Including plenty of room for your own initiative and good ideas.
- Opportunities for personal and professional development within the organization, for example, in technical, commercial, or international areas.
- Valuable international collaborations with colleagues from 68 countries.
- A comfortable workplace in a modern environment, with attention to flexibility and the right work-life balance.
- Work can usually be done wherever and whenever you want to do your job as well and efficiently as possible. Within Thales, we implement hybrid working, where you can, for example, work from home two days a week if your role allows it.
- A good salary, appropriate travel expense reimbursement, and the possibility to personalize your employment conditions annually: for example, you can exchange free days for internet costs, our bicycle plan, company fitness, and relocation costs.
- 40 vacation days per year. Yes, really.
