Job Description

This internship within the Mobile Networks Sector (MNW) at Thales's Gennevilliers Campus involves joining the "Telecom Validation Integrator" service. The intern will work on one or more projects, participating in the design, creation, and execution of automated tests for software/applications. This role offers exposure to modern testing methods and tools in a challenging technical environment, contributing to products deployed in the field.
Good To Have:
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab would be a real asset.
Must Have:
  • Participate in the analysis of functional and technical needs to define automated test cases.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts (unit, integration, functional).
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure software quality.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of testing processes and the integration of tests into the DevOps chain.
  • Write test reports and document results.
  • Final year engineering school or university master's student, specializing in computer science, software engineering or equivalent, seeking a 6-month end-of-study internship.
  • First experience or strong interest in test automation tools, especially Robot Framework.
  • Proficiency in Java and/or Python programming languages and interest in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Curious, autonomous, and motivated, you like to learn and get involved in collaborative projects.
  • Team spirit and good interpersonal skills to integrate easily and actively contribute to project success.

Your daily life

The Gennevilliers Campus is the heart of design, development, and support activities for major defense systems: radio communications, resilient network and infrastructure systems, satellite communications, collaborative combat, and cybersecurity. Located north of Paris, it is quickly accessible by public transport.

Within the Mobile Networks Sector (MNW), you will be attached to the "Telecom Validation Integrator" service, within the Solutions Engineering Department.

You will join an engineering team with Integration, Verification, and Validation engineers, working on a platform that brings together a large number of physical and virtualized voice and network equipment.

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on one or more projects and on products directly deployed in the field. You will follow their daily life and discover the technical and challenging environment in which they evolve.

You will participate in the design, creation, and execution of automated tests on our software/applications and discover modern testing methods and tools in a stimulating technical environment.

Your missions will consist of:

  • Participate in the analysis of functional and technical needs to define automated test cases.

Your profile

  • Are you in your final year of engineering school or a university master's degree, with a specialization in computer science, software engineering or an equivalent field, and are you looking for a 6-month end-of-study internship?
  • Do you have first experience or show a strong interest in test automation tools, especially Robot Framework?
  • Are you proficient in Java and/or Python programming languages and interested in Agile/Scrum environments?
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab would be a real asset.
  • Curious, autonomous, and motivated, you like to learn and get involved in collaborative projects.
  • Your team spirit and interpersonal skills will allow you to integrate easily and actively contribute to the success of projects.
