Job Summary
This role involves evaluating and developing Ethernet control subsystem firmware, optimizing Layer 2/3 protocols like VLAN, STP, and IGMP Snooping, and implementing/debugging RoCE functionality. The engineer will integrate hardware and software architectures, conduct compliance tests, and provide solutions for technical issues to ensure system performance and reliability. Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 5 years of experience in next-generation Ethernet firmware development, a deep understanding of Ethernet protocols, and strong debugging skills.
Must Have
- Evaluate and develop Ethernet control subsystem firmware
- Optimize and implement Layer 2/3 protocols, including VLAN (802.1Q), STP (802.1D), RSTP (802.1W), IGMP Snooping, and Link Aggregation (802.3ad)
- Implement and debug RoCE (RDMA) functionality
- Integrate hardware and software architectures to evaluate systems and conduct compliance tests
- Provide solutions for technical issues and ensure system performance and reliability
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in next-generation Ethernet firmware development
- Deep understanding of Ethernet protocols (Layer 2/3, TCP/IP, UDP)
- Strong background in silicon validation, embedded software development, and proven debugging skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Good to Have
- Over 10 years of experience in hardware-software integration, validation, and driver/firmware development
- Experience developing firmware for high-speed interface devices (e.g., PCIe, UCIe)
- Ability to work across multiple teams and foster cross-functional collaboration
- Capacity to quickly learn and adapt to new and emerging technologies
