eBay, Inc. seeks Information Security Engineer 3
Job Duties: Work closely with DevOps teams, Database Architects, and third-party groups to ensure that eBay meets our commitment to provide customers and partners with a secure and trusted operating environment. Act as a core member of our security incident response team by conducting security, compliance, and fraud investigations. Detect and respond to company-wide application and network layer security incidents, coordinating cross-functional teams to contain and eradicate threats. Identify indicators of compromise, build actionable alerts, and improve response mechanisms. Support the vulnerability management program by identifying vulnerabilities, risk ranking, and remediation tracking and reporting. Support Sarbanes Oxley and PCI compliance, and conduct regular reviews of the environment for permissions, configurations, and other audit compliance. Develop and implement scalable preventative, detective, and reactive security measures. Build automation into the incident detection and response process. Monitor systems and periodically prepare reports assessing effectiveness on attempted breaches. Identify opportunities for TCG player security improvements throughout the attack framework. Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Special Skill Requirements:
Two years of experience required in each of the following:
1. Experience implementing automated security controls in an AWS console
2. Experience performing security incident response for a web application
3. Experience conducting vulnerability assessments on infrastructure
4. Experience auditing cloud environments for security compliance
5. Experience implementing security controls in a container/ Kubernetes environment
6. Experience with Windows and Linux administration and Endpoint Detection & Response technologies
7. Knowledge of CI/CD technologies, DevOps philosophies, and security gating techniques
8. Knowledge of OWASP best practices and web application defense
9. Knowledge of PCI and SOX compliance requirements
Salary: $149,240.00-222,100.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
